The state of the world

Sen. Santorum announces that we had found WMDs in Iraq after all. Not that this is startling information (did we think they were devoting factories and scientific researchers to the production of high-tech gigapets). Today, the Senate largely repudiated Sen. Kerry's stupid proposal to set a timetable for the return of our troops from Iraq. We killed that Zarqawi guy.

Also, the stock market is back up on the earnings strength of companies such as FedEx and Morgan Stanley...

I have to admit, it's a good week to get married.

Wow. The right will settle for anything and call it a victory. That's like the left declaring there are no WMDs because Kerry said so...

BTW...I started to do some research. The info is regarding shells that predate the 1991 gulf war. Nothing new. Santorum appears to be jumping the gun.

Those were supposed to be destroyed. They were not. Why? Some of the shells predate the gulf war, not all. Either way, it should quell the "Bush lied about WMDs" nonsense... Maybe...

Man, you ARE an optimist. I mean, they could find nuclear weapons programmed to hit the Mall of America and the guys at places like the Koz would still claim Bush lied.

What the heck...the first one said it did not go through. And I spelled nuclear wrong the second time. Dammit.
