Glass houses

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad think the United States is done.

In a related note, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won't live to see 2018. You won't see that on CNN, but it is true. Anyone wanna start an office pool?

This guy is truly mentally ill, has little or no education, and has no real grasp of history....he lies through his teeth when the world listening knows its false. What "palestinian" lands does he speak of when he says "in all the "palestinians" lands??? There never was a nation called "palestine" the british named it that, and Jews have been here and dwelled here for over 5000 years, long before "Islam" even came into existence....yes some Jews from around the world came to Israel, but they were only coming home, not to any land callled "Palestine" but to UN and internationally reckognized Israel. "palestinians" only came into existence after 1967 as a terrorist group under Arafat, they are refugees from the surrounding Arab countries in which not even their own Arab brothers with the vast amounts of land they have will take them in and have also slaughtered many in the past for trying to overthrow the government in Jordan. Nothing but criminals. Only one line keeps going through my head "Why didnt we kill Hitler in 1938". Well in order to prevent a global nuclear war, maybe now we can make up for that mistake with Ahmadinejad.

Sometimes you have to put the idiot on stage so everybody can see what an idiot he is.

Dont worry Nutjob - if America goes under- we'll be sure to send you all our nuclear weapons first. (airmail).

Jordan is the nutjob. Check your history books moron the land in question has always been called Palestine. Israel however was nothing more than a dream Moses had. Please don't tell me the few tents Solomon had thousands of years ago was a nation either.

Every empire in history has risen and fallen. America is no different.

Jordan is correct that there was never a nation of Palestine. The term has been used to describe a swath of land which now includes parts of Libya and Syria.

Regardless of whether you regard Israel as "a dream Moses had" (does that come from your history books?) Israel in it's present form certainly exists, having been founded the same way any number of nation states have been founded.

For Palestinians to make a territorial claim to Palestine based on ancient boundaries is ridiculous. This is a precedent that no reasonable person would apply elsewhere (what the heck would we do with Great Britain?).

America is not an empire, and it is a ridiculous stretch to assert that it is. An America empire would simply invade Iran, make it the 51st state, and appoint Todd Palin governor.

That's not in the cards, but we will wind up having to kill Ahmadinejad. This lends dramatic irony to his bluster, in my view, which was the point of the post.

Maybe we won't.
Maybe he'll get radiation poisoning, or one of the nuclear warheads their building will accidently go off.
Maybe Hopeface will be over there talking with Ahmadinejad about peace at the time.
I'm really hoping for an ironic twist ending.

Careful about what you say about American presidents dying. That is not in anyone's interests ever.

If Obama is elected, his Iran policy will be the Democrats undoing in 2010 and 2012, and Obama can go back to hugging poodles. That is enough for me.

I didn't say anything about him being the president at the time.

Also, by the way, if anyone took that to mean I'm hoping Obama will be there at the time, that's not what I intended. My thought was simply that he potentially could be there, since he is willing to be Ahmadinejad's buddy. Not much danger of McCain, or any other thinking American, being there when Ahmadinejad finally meets his fate, whether by nuclear explosion from within, or Predator drone strike from without.

I think, generally, we should not insinuate any anticipatory glee w/r/t the death of American political leaders. I know what you meant, but it's easy to get unhinged.

As for Ahmadinejad, yeah, bombs away. The world could use one less lunatic.

Understood. I was being reckless. And I have no excuse, as I am far from being a teen.
Therefore, I would like to respectfully request that everyone please skip over the third sentence in my first comment.
Thanks for your cooperation.
